Marilyn Benedict, 61, died Monday November 7, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa, Mason City, Iowa.
Marilyn Joyce (Cline) Benedict was born January 23, 1944, the daughter of Walter and Lila Cline. She married James Martin Benedict on October 27, 1963. They resided in Cedar Rapids, Chicago, and Nashville before moving back to Charles City in 1977. They then moved to Garner in 1984 before moving to Mason City in 2002. Marilyn worked at David Manufacturing for seventeen years and had been a nurse's aide at Good Shepherd Health Center.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Robert (Kristine) Benedict, Erik Benedict, Staci Benedict, Hope (Shawn) Starry and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Gary (Margaret) Cline and Dale (Cheryl) Cline and sister, Carol Stayner. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
