Have very fond memories.  Hate losing another of our Great Class of 1962.

This information is from the Charles City Press obituary dated August 12, 2013:

Phyllis L. Kelly, 69, of Charles City died Friday, August 9, 2013.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at the FIrst Congregational Church.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetary at Charles City.  Friends may call at Hauser Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Phyllis Lee (Stalker) Kelly was born August 8, 1944, in Charles City, the daughter of Lyle and Maxine (Goebel) Stalker. She was educated in the Charles City Public Schools, graduating in 1962. Phyllis then attended the nursing program at Allen Nursing and continued her education by completing the Master's Program in Nursing at the University of Minnesota.  She began her carrer as a registered nurse and grew into an active business owner.  Phyllis was very active in the Republican Party, serving as National Committe Woman for 12 years, and she volunteered for several political campaign activities.  Phyllis was a member of the FIrst Congregational Church.  She was very active in local community causes and enjoyed playing bridge often with friends.  Phyllis was always willing to reach out a hand to those who might be in need.  

Living family members include two sons, James A. Friedrich (Shanda Harder) of Ankeny and Thomas Kelly of Mason City; brother, Rodney (Pat) Stalker of Texas; four step-children, Clarkson Kelly III, Rebecca Lower, Elizabeth Kelly and Christopher Kelly; two grandchildren, Jackson Friedrich and Madison Friedrich; five step-grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.  

Memorials may be directed to First Congregational Church, 502 North Jackson Street, Charles City, IA 50616, Floyd County Cancer Fund or to the charity of your choice.
